How it Works:
The Shock Compact's fan circulates air over stainless steel ozone-generating plates, then discharges the ozonated air to saturate a space. The case directs ozone horizontally and should be positioned on a countertop or other elevated surfacel because ozone is heavier than air and naturally sinks to the ground. The unit includes a simple, one-touch countdown timer to set the treatment time.

The Shock Compact's rugged case can be opened for cleaning with just two snaps and secured with a luggage lock. The unit includes a power inlet port that accepts standard appliance cords rather than having a permanently attached cord. Shock Ozone Treatment Explained
In ozone generator testing conducted by the U.S. EPA National Risk Management Research Laboratory, a minimum ozone concentration of 5 parts per million (ppm) was required to shock (eliminate) resistant bacteria specimens. This requires the generation of approximately 1,000 mg/hr of ozone to shock treat 1,000 cubic feet of space and can vary based on environmental factors. An under-powered ozone generator will leave an ozone scent but it will not eradicate the bacteria causing the odors, which will quickly return.
