How it Works:
The Shock Pro-QTZ channels airflow over quartz tubing that keeps its stainless steel conductors cooler, generating more ozone with fewer byproducts in warm and humid environments. The unit discharges the ozonated air upwards to saturate a space. An upward flow is beneficial because ozone is heavier than air and naturally sinks to the ground. The unit can also discharge horizontally and includes a simple, one-touch countdown timer to set the treatment time.

The Shock Pro-QTZ's case can be opened at each end for service. The unit includes a power inlet port that accepts standard appliance cords of any length, rather than having a permanently attached cord. You can also purchase an optional hose attachment to funnel ozone into vehicles, air ducts and small spaces while placing the ozone generator outside the treatment area.

Shock Ozone Treatment Explained
In ozone generator testing conducted by the U.S. EPA National Risk Management Research Laboratory, a minimum ozone concentration of 5 parts per million (ppm) was required to shock (eliminate) resistant bacteria specimens. This requires the generation of approximately 1,000 mg/hr of ozone to shock treat 1,000 cubic feet of space and can vary based on environmental factors. An under-powered ozone generator will leave an ozone scent but it will not eradicate the bacteria causing the odors, which will quickly return.
