How it Works:
The Shock Cannon XL is simple to operate, service and repair. The unit can be tilted upwards at up to 45-degrees. It has a solid 18 gauge stainless-steel drum to survive the harshest environments. A selectable 3-speed heavy-duty 1,200 CFM fan blows fresh air across high-quality 304 stainless steel ozone plates, then blasts the ozonated air to saturate a space. An upward flow is beneficial because ozone is heavier than air and naturally sinks to the ground. The unit can also discharge horizontally and includes a simple, one-touch countdown timer to set the treatment time.

The unit can be serviced by removing machine screws on each end, and every component is replaceable. The Shock Cannon XL has a straight-blade power inlet that accepts standard extension cords of any length, rather than having to rely on a permanently attached cord. The ozone output can be toggled between 64,000 mg/hr or 128,000 mg/hr depending on the size of the treatment area and the length of treatment.

Shock Ozone Treatment Explained
In ozone generator testing conducted by the U.S. EPA National Risk Management Research Laboratory, a minimum ozone concentration of 5 parts per million (ppm) was required to kill resistant bacteria specimens. This requires the generation of approximately 1,000 mg/hr of ozone to shock treat 1,000 cubic feet of space and can vary based on environmental factors. An under-powered ozone generator will leave an ozone scent but it will not eliminate the bacteria causing the odors, which will quickly return.
